Subject: Re: Invoice For Jeffrey Epstein
Hi Lesley (and Rich),
I can do an invoice for the exome work which is only $1000 and that would get him in the same queue as the
YPO Austin study.
I only discussed briefly with him over the phone last weekend so maybe you can confirm he's OK with doing
this on top of the $11,000 whole genome (through Illumina). After a long hold up the IRB paperwork to do
the whole genome should be done with a consent form I expect to be newly approved in 10-14 days.
We are ready to go with collecting samples for the exome work which will include a memory stick of his
compressed data for him to keep and indefinite bio banking if he opts for either of these.
If there's any issue with the extra $1000, I'll look into whether this can be covered for Jeffrey. I do think ifs
worth getting him into the regular ypo queue on top of the illumina hill genome - enough so that I'll see if
this can be covered for him.
Lesley: Jeffrey and I didn't discuss the above in detail over our short call. Can you pass this info on to him?
I did get confirmation from him that he's OK with my using aliquots of his already donated samples to the
PGP and I'm coordinating with George on the transfer of a portion (aliquot) of these samples.
If he's OK with also participating in the exome work getting done with the ypo folks, I should collect saliva
from him.
Jeffrey mentioned being in town 6/21. I could meet with him to collect his saliva (assuming the above sounds
good to him) either before or after he meets with George Church if he has the time.
The illumina whole genome would need to be ordered and invoiced after my new consent form is approved
and available in 1-2 weeks. (To clarify, the saliva for exome sequencing and $1000 invoicing for that can
proceed though.)

Alternatively, as a physician, I could just clinically order an illumina whole genome on Jeffrey anytime - but
as I've discussed with him in depth before I think we're better off doing this via the research route.
I'm happy to clarify any of this by phone or email.
Thanks,
Joe
