Too many brokers with not enough order flow. I like the team but when you have a firm of 16 you have all types. No bad folks but just guys who always think they are under paid for what they do. Guys who have no real risk on the table in the sense of funding the business but want to get paid more. And no one ever understands what things like rent, Health and dental, technology expenses and so forth cost. And if there is a profit you know who wants to get paid first, Uncle Sam and is little brother the State of Connecticut. I wake up many nights in a puddle of sweat. But the good news is I have saved my money and when all is said and done if I am with Ty and I am happy no matter where I am. I do not understand people like you describe at GE. Life is too short to be a dick but people get desperate or it is all they know. Life is also too short to stay with a firm like that I am glad you left. I agree, there is no game more exciting to watch than the ones Ty is in for me or Zack for you. I really hope that I can keep coaching as he grows up. I love also that he and I have a goal that is the same. That is great to hear about Zack and track. Wow the 800 is a tough race. What grade is he in and what is his 800 time? does he run the 400 also. 800 is a good race for him. He could run in college and get some money and help him get into a better school. Ty is good at all the sports he plays. Although he was only going into 2nd grade last year he was asked to try out for the 3rd grade travel soccer team. There are three teams and he made the top team for New Canaan and ended the season as the second highest scorer. I do not think he was the second best player but probably Stn out of 14 or so. EFTA00388066 He also played basketball but again played up with 3rd and 4th graders. Again far from the best in the league but held his own and go much better. If he plays with kids of his age it is not even fun for him or a challenge. Baseball also one of the best in the league. Football will be interesting since he is bigger than most and fast with good hands. He way 75 lbs. and the average weight of the boys who have signed up is 62 lbs. Glad to hear Ashlyn is doing well. I think having your own kids and struggling with them and the struggles in building a life with a wife are the things that make life worth living. How are the rest of the Troy boys doing. I did see Tom and Craig on June 5th. They had business in the town next to me so we went to dinner. They both seem well but working very hard. What is the best time to call you. I call my folks everyday either on my way to work or home but could call you also if the timing worked. Great hearing from you Ike From: [mailto: Sent: Tuesday, July 02, 2013 2:24 PM To: Ike Groff Cc: Subject: RE: update Hopefully work is a battle, but the people you work with are ok. That was my problem at GE, the position was very challenging, lots of hours, lots of stress. I could have managed through that part no problem, but the people were awful. It wasn't worth it anymore. If I am going to put in that much effort, I wasn't going to put up with rotten co-workers. So far so good here at Dana. the good part is that Dana is in the same complex as GE, so my commute remains the same. I even eat at the same cafeteria. I agree, coaching is wonderful. Glad to hear that you are loving it. Is Ty excelling in sports? (like his old man) I tell Zach that there isnt anything that I would rather do than watch him. Even if it's badminton. He's playing baseball, basketball, and running track. the kid kicks butt in track. 800 is his thing, nobody beats him. We just got back from a baseball toumament in Cooperstown, NY. 104 teams from all around the country compete in a 4 day tournament. All the kids stay in barracks from Friday night to Thursday afternoon. Coaches too. It's like a baseball camp. Best experience ever. Highly recommended. We didnt do very well, but the experience was unbelievable. Ashlyn is great, making bigger strides since switching schools. She is a work-in-progress, but overall she is a total blessing that makes us realize what life is really about. Michelle is great too, all is great. Love being a dad and coaching. Ty is doing well in sports and school and overall he is just a very good boy. We are very fortunate but we also spend a ton of time with him since we have only one. is well. Still working for the same guy I think this is year 12 with him so she is clearly a valued part of his team. Beyond that building a new house and that is a pain but in the end should be very nice. I am hoping to rent out the house I am living in now for a bit of diversification but carrying two houses at once is a bit straining. I will be coaching football in the fall. It will be a large commitment because even in third grade we have practice three days per week and a game. I have coached Ty in soccer, baseball and basketball and really nothing I love more than coaching these young kids. It is very rewarding. How are Michelle, Zack and Ashlyn. What grades will they be going into. What sports do they play?
