Gratefully,

Hi LG - as we just discussed..sorry it's so long-winded -
sure you can edit verbally to size!
attaching
an updated CV too in case you think that's a good idea.
***Where things stand in 2012 -
EFTA00393017
- have contract w/ Oxford Univ Press to write first textbook in field, Cognitive Neuroscience of Music
(complements first-ever course, started at Harvard in 90s, Music Mind & Brain - see
www.BrainMusic.org/Education), looking for support that would provide time to complete text in 2013
side-by-side with -
- "Why Music? Mind, Brain & Human Sociobiology" - signed w/ Kris Dahl of ICM Talent, NY Times best-
seller agent (chose her over Brockman, Stroan). She says based on my track record (CV attached), pioneer
status in field, public relations history, and not factoring in trade book and potential music boost (below),
she expects six-figure advance
- book tour in US and Europe expected after release "Why Music?" in 2014
- recorded song at Universal Music studios - co-wrote and performed (vocals, guitars) with "Hit-Boy" -
Chauncey Hollis, producer/writer for Beyonce, Kanye West, Jay-Z, L'il Wayne (top secret at the moment);
can You-Tube search Hit-Boy interviews and recent Top-10 hit "Niggas in Paris".
- song passed two auditions at A&R, Universal Music publishing - Tom Sturges, Executive VP/Head of
Creative sent to Lome Michaels for Andy Samberg and Lonely Island to do, but Samberg left SNL, LI broke
up; then Assoc Director gonna pitched to Beastie Boys but lead Adam Yauch died; so "Prof T" is doing it
with engineer/producer Stan Malveaux (regular at Universal, recently worked with Patti LaBelle, Janet
Jackson's producers, many others).
- now set to make video, record in final production/mastering stage, more songs to A&R needed and
publishing contract in reach;
- meanwhile, totally unrelated: vinyl of 70's rock musical (now called "70s indie psychedelic folk/rock -
huh?) rediscovered by NY DJ, now being auctioned on web for $500! M has gotten emails over from Japan,
France, Denmark, US asking for LP over past 5-10 yrs. Could be placed with indie label, eg Sundazed
Records or better.
***Aims for 2013-14 are:
- to publish with Oxford "Cognitive Neuroscience of Music" textbook for scientists working in the field and
the increasing number of professor and students studying the psychology and neuroscience of music (and
visiting The Institute's webstite and eLibrary, which continue to grow
- to publish with Random House or a similar house "Why Music? Mind Brain & Human Sociobiology" for a
general audience that will make comparisons with Levitin's book unfair (note: the only Fig of the brain in
that book is
from Science pub) and set the stage for Tramo to succeed Sachs in the wake of the latter's
passing. Get $100k - $200k advance in 2013 with substantial proposal - feasible per Kris Dahl
- to publish a (hit) record and video on iTunes and YouTube with Beyonce/Kanye's producer Chauncey
Hollis, follow-up w/ 1-2 records/videos, sign contract with publisher, possibly (indie) label
- do an unprecedented, crossover, book/small-venue concert tour in universities around the US and Europe
in 2014-5
MT
support/time to write proposal, start

III flying into manhattan 12/22 for a week or so and would love to
see JE and his right hand. will he and you be around? There's a fair
amount of "mavericky" kinda stuff going on in that III like to tell
him about (and play for him) in person - if you have a number
could call you at later today (my cellphone got wiped at the MRI
Suite!) I could explain to you what's happening so perhaps you could
give me some feedback and advice.
Cheers,
