Excellent on all! What a great story regarding Josh/TED and JE!
Thanks so much for everything and we will see what we can do about a get together with Jeffrey in the near
future.
Take care,

Hi
As promised, I am following up with you concerning Blackjets.
First step means going to their site to become familiar with the overall picture:
but when you get there, you need a special invite code. Enter this:
I have set this up with the CEO of Blackjet so that this code will provide special benefits for my friends as
follows:
First are 2 complimentary companion seats on coast-coast trips (NY-LA or NY-SF or returns). I did this
because it will allow you to take another friend or colleague along but pay for only one seat -- that's worth up
about $7,000 so you can split the costs. Second, I made sure you would get 3 invite codes of your own
so should you want to invite friends you'll chalk up more comp seats. In the interest of full disclosure, I have all
the comp seats I could ever use, so please don't assume I am racking up more by inviting you --- but truth be
told, I am a seed investor in Blackjets which turned out to be one of the best things I ever did. Flying privately
LA-NY in a quiet, wi-fi equipped private jet and avoiding TSA and security lines and all the other hassles of
straight airport travel these days has become a lifesaver. When you join, too, you'll get pretty much everything I
do out of the service.
Funny that while at TED, my son Josh bumped into an old friend from the Gates Foundation, Boris, who after
chatting a bit, told Josh he wanted to introduce him to a great person he should meet. Boris walked over to
Jeffrey (who in true form was crashing TED) and brought him over and introduced him to Josh. Jeffrey was his
cordial self, smiling as he shook Josh's hand, and Josh said, "I know who you are -- you're a friend of my
Dad's." Jeffrey took one look at Josh's name tag (apparently having missed the last name in the intro) and
exclaimed "Oh, sure, your Dad is a great guy -- I love him." So either he spoke his truth, or he's a great
bullshitter -- I tend to believe the former as the feeling is mutual. Incidentally, Josh flew back from TED that
week with 5 of his friends (all Blackjetters) and they had a blast onboard.
It will be great to see Jeffrey again without the usual interference. He and I first sat down more than 15 years
ago and aside from contact through you, Helen or Ghislaine when I used to use the 66th Street apartment every
so often, I've seen him only a few times at parties or functions. I did stop in to the NY house a few times (the
night of 9/11) but as you well know a lot has happened since then and catching up and getting current would
serve us both well. I care for him a great deal and look forward to a snippet of quiet time soon.
