I don't talk to her anymore and she doesn't even work at the station anymore..I remember she quit to go raise her baby... I know mom said they are still looking for something good to rent and so far no luck, but it is their wish to go when TX is at its hottest. She said we could visit them there, but then we don't see Dad and Nancy and everyone else. Ike is always concerned to tell you the truth, BUT, things are really not great now...since Nick left it has affected the bottom line..lke says 'yes, Nick was a pain in the ass but he was a million dollar a year producer"...take out the fixed costs and paying Nick and at least they had $400,000.00 to the bottom line in profit...that is gone. ...and just the business in general is hard...he has accounts (hedge funds) shutting down and some just not coming in and doing much business... it is 'quiet' in the mom and they need to get new dients..but it is hard. We can play the 30th by ear..like I said, it's possible we may have plans anyway (trying to get 3 couples together for a dinner out and it takes a while for everyone to chime in on what date they can do) ...and ok on checking on 13 if that won't work I could check on 14...actually wait, Ike is out this Thursday 7th...would that work for you maybe? We should plan another family dinner again as well as a dinner with you and me...We could do a Sat night in April (I am tossing around the idea of going to TX Apri117-21...sona...Ty is out of school and end of August will not work for us this year... Ty starts football Aug. 19 and I understand ftom Mom and Randy they plan to be gone end of July all of Aug when TX is at its hottest) I actually suggested going to TX for July 4th, which I think would be lots of fun, but Ike wants to stay here so we can go to Waveny and be a part of that with our town. We will see though (however, Ike is completely stressed out right now...about work and the future of Tourmaline and what to do next if it doesn't work... throw in the fact it seems like Bob copy and pasted our budget from a house he built in 2007 and his blood pressure and sleeping has been totally out of whack the sleeping for sure, blood pressure is probably just fine...so in other words, talking about any kind of trip is not what Ike wants to do...or at least not to TX..I think he is TOTALLY ready for a trip to relax, like the Bahamas again, but even that will have to be the summer.) I could do next wed. Our 10 year anniversary is Fri. March 15... WOW. So far nothing special is planned. Paula did say she could take ty for the night of the 23ml cause Pat will be away (in Vegas with a bunch of guys ..I would so not like that.she doesn't mind at all!) But we may take her up on it. Yes, Ty will be doing lots of sports as well coming up...soccer 3 times a week plus one game...Baseball which is 2 practices I think and one game...he might do LAX also but that is Sat. morning only. It's good for the kids to be involved. I am meeting Mike Haddad tonight. Thank goodness it is tonight and not tomorrow or I would cancel! Weather is supposed to be lousy tomorrow. Ash, I doubt I can bring up a fundraiser to Jefrey...he gets hit on so much...i can't do it too...i would rather ask him for a raise quite frankly! I wish I could ... we all took a pay cut so long ago and he has not said anything about bringing us back up to where we were...no bonuses either... it's been since 2008... I'm prepping myself for the spring sports. . . it's going to mean more timely exits from the office (and no / very limited flexibility to get to go out for a drink. . .) Oh well. I want the kids involved in sports -- and it's not about me. . . although, some me time is important! Braden is signed up for BPR baseball (bedford pound ridge) -- it is an 'anyone can play' league. But he wants to try out for the FLMS team. . . evidently it is hard to get on that team. so I encouraged him this am to be thinking about track and field as an alternate in CASE he doesn't make it (FLMS = free; BPR = pay. . . but I've already paid) Cass will do lax again plus her theater and I think she is going to be able to take extra classes on Mondays (which will be great, as she takes as many classes as she can for the same monthly charge. like to get more for my $$) *** Do you / Jeffrey have any NYC contacts to some event or restaurant that would donate to the International Rets Syndrome Foundation? This foundation is what Eric Diamond is very involved in - - his daughter, Abby, is afflicted. Eric is Pete's customer and it would be awesome for him to be able to contribute some 'worthy' items for the auction at Erics upcoming fundraiser in NYC (fundraiser is May 1st, but they are collecting items now for the auction). Obviously, any contribution would GREATLY help pete with the biz he gets out of Eric also. . . .
