Does this article use any particular sampling? A. The sampling was of professionals from a variety of fields. And it looked for content analysis and commonalities in what these professionals reported were common behaviors and tactics that were used across types of victimization. Q. How, if at all, does that impact your assessment of the study and article? A. It impacts it significantly. Because what this article is doing is not only is it replicating what has previously been found about tactics that are used, it's extending that literature and saying that these are common patterns of behavior that are used in the service of coercive control ina variety of types of victimization. So it's identifying a common tactic that's used in a number of settings to gain and maintain power and to coerce a victim into some form of behavior.
