Subject: Re: Detroit Auto Show Sunday Jan. 20th maybe?
Date: Wed, 16 Jan 2019 14:11:05 +0000
Agree on all for auto show...we just go and spend a little time..if it is boring we leave...but I think for sure a
fun'Detroit' thing to do...will get us out of the house and doing a little something! Ty was not that excited but
Ike and I both reiterated it is not an all day thing and could be interesting!
RE Sat...I want to say yes to Kris and boot camp, but I just don't want to hurt myself! I think you just go...I'll
go for a slow run with Ike! ...I would LOVE Barre class on Sunday at Lifetime , but please, if you would rather
do something else-do it! Love you and so happy I will see you soon!!!

I searched around the intemet and asked my neighbor but there really doesn't seem to be anything but general
admission...the $14/person seems to be the only ticket in town. We are fine with going...we don't have to stay
for the entire afternoon but I think it could be fun for a few hours. It will be packed but, again, we don't have a
big agenda of needing to see something special so we can just go for awhile and then leave when we are over
it! Let me know and I can purchase our tickets...definitely sounds like online tickets are the way to go rather
than standing in a line the day of.
Also, did you want to do the Saturday bootcamp at Kris's gym? We can go either at 8:30 or 9:30 and there will
be 3-6 of us...all levels of fitness but it is weights/abs and some cardio. It is just one hour. You don't have to
go at all but just want to throw it out there. We actually need to sign up since the class only fits 6 max. I was
thinking we could do Bane on Sunday at Lifetime...there is a good class from 9:15-10:15 that day.

exactly! maybe we can...special entrance for an extra $10 ...who knows ....but agree it is more special than
bowling (even though I like bowling)...and yes, Ike said Pat would be interested in these playoff games (but
can totally understand not watching regular season) OK cool! sounds like things are working out. I'll have
Ike ask Tom also about the car show. Tom confirmed with Ike he will go to the game! I'm very happy for
him! Tom is truly a great friend he never gets to see...so nice of y'all to offer the ticket to him...! ty says he
wants to meet Hen's friends on Sat night vs go to the game....

ok, sure...and although i said Pat doesn't watch a ton of football I know he is definitely interested in the
playoff games. They watched some last night...that sounds perfect. I think we should shoot for going to
the car show Sunday...I mean we can bowl and that sort of thing anytime and anywhere...the car show is
something a bit more special...I just need to get some inside info about it! Ike should maybe ask Tom too.
He may have some pointers. Can we pay up for VIP!! Haha...that sort of thing!!

So funny! Yes, it is always a big week here with that going on. We, also, have never been despite always
saying we should. Most of my friends do not go but have been in the past. I think it can be sorta a shit
show but let me talk to my next door neighbor as they work in the car industry and attend the big Car
Show Gala every year. She probably would know what would be worthwhile. And since we haven't
ever done it maybe we should finally do it! Thanks for the reminder!

1) Earnings

2) Chinese Economy in Spotlight- Despite suffering its worst month in two years, China's massive export
industry has tallied up a record trade surplus with the United States in 2018. Data published by the
Chinese Government on Monday showed that in December the value of goods shipped from China to
the rest of the world fell by -4% YoY. The $323 Billion gap in value between the amount that China
sells to the United States and the amount that China buys from the United States has been at the crux
of the Trade War disputes between the world's two largest economies. The U.S actually has an even
higher estimate for that surplus gap at $345 Billion.

3) Global Market Overview- U.S Stock Futures are trading lower -.90% vs. 2596. European markets have
open lower in early trading following a Red day in Asian equity markets.
4) More Sour Apple News- One of the largest Apple Suppliers in Europe, Dialog Semiconductor, warned
on Monday that its 4Q sales will be coming in at the bottom of the range that it provided back in
October. This is just the latest sign that the weak iPhone sales in China are having a larger effect on
Apple suppliers that rely on the tech behemoth for orders. Apple warned investors earlier this month
that it would be missing its sales target for 4O'18 by at least $5 Billion due to slower than expected
sales in China.
5) Detroit Auto Show- The most important Auto Show in the U.S will kick off on Monday in Detroit and
investors/vehicle junkies will get a first glance at a slew of new cars that will be making their official
debut. The biggest news for the industry may wait until Tuesday though as Ford and Volkswagen are
expected to formalize their widely expected partnership. Ford plans to spend $11 Billion over the
next 3-5 years to reshape the firm's technologies and focuses.
