The blackout effect should be the same regardless of which color velour you choose for the actual panels. The Black velour is popular but there are also other darker colors to choose from. So I would suggest choosing the color you like best since they will all be effective in blocking out the light. If you decide to place an order the lead time is going to be about two weeks.
