Hi=,
Tropical Shipping will have to engage a customs broker to clear the shipment, once it is cleared it can be
transported to Tropical by any carrier. Tropical will know this procedure and can arrange I am sure. Please do
not hesitate to give them my number or give me a contact and I will talk to them about the clearance.
I will call PNG and give you an update this afternoon.
Thanks
PS I think it is a mistake to try and reship direct to the Virgin Islands. It would have to be requoted, which takes
time (and then there is Murphy's law.) The export permit which is needed for clearance is issued to you at
Tropical and would have to get reissued to follow all the rules. Better to leave it be at this mid-point.

....also, if we still send to Tropical, when it arrives in Miami, is there someone in Miami who will get it to Tropical Shipping, or would I
have to arrange someone to pick up the cargo in Miami and transport?

The three crates are in the Air Niugini Cargo warehouse in Port Moresby. They have been physically located
and described to me by Jesse the Duty Manager. The Airway Bill
was lost from the boxes. (M
saw Terry fix the airway bill to the crate in Wewak.)
Tomorrow morning a copy of the Airway Bill is going to Jesse in Port Moresby on the 6 am flight out of Wewak
and when he has it in hand he can tell me on what flight he can book it out of Port Moresby for the USA.
I want to confirm that the destination airport is Miami as Miami is not mentioned in the Tropic address.
The Air Niugini cargo "system" was "down" last week and nothing was input into the system. The "system"
was restored today apparently so once the copy of the airway bill gets to Port Moresby and they input the
backlog it should show in the Sri Lankan "system"... I have never been able to track a shipment in the
"system". Inwards or outwards. I send in donated medical supplies about 4 times a year to a surgeon and it
has much of the same frustrating path as this one seems to be having.
