I am s000 sorry for not writing to you in so long! It has been a very busy time and I feel so bad it took me that long to finish the testimonial. I am not a very good writer, and sometimes I felt like it was coming out too conventional, so I would change it many times. I have attached a word file with it below, please kindly take a look and let me know if you would like me to make any changes (I promise I will do it much faster). Thank you so very much for the recommendations about the pottery exhibitions. I LOVE Sara Japanese pottery store, I recently saw their exhibition of murrini and lace glass, which was stunning (here is the link from their website http://www.saranyc.corn/ushio-konishi--fujiko-enami-2017.html ). This is one of the sets from the exhibition: So I must definitely check out the exhibition you mentioned. And I have never been at the second place, would love to check it out. Thank you so much! And big thanks and my best regards to Reito san! I also loved your beautiful video about sakura! And what a gorgeous wagashi presentation from the tea master! I can not wait to see the updates from you with the summer flowers. Can you believe it is the first day of summer already?! Time goes so fast. I hope you are enjoying this beautiful time! Hope to hear soon from you! Warmest regards, Karyna P.S. I am also so happy for Joi and Mizuka-San!!! On May 23, 2017, at 8:03 PM, Romy Yamada > wrote: EFTA00565423 Hi ICaryna, How are you doing!? Tokyo is beginning to feel the summer breeze, how is the weather in NY?? Reito just happened to purchase a ceramic of the artist named Koichi Onozawa and his works will be exhibited in below event held at NY 1-7 June. I just sent you an event invitation via facebook (here is also the link). She thought you may like it, so if you happen to be at NY around that time, please take a look!! SANNGA is opening its gallery on June 1st at Dai Ichi Arts. So we present "TWO" special exhibitions to commemorate the opening at the same time! One is "15 young potters from Japan" at SANNGA project @ Dai Ichi Arts. From June 1st to 7th. Opening reception on June 3rd, 6pm - 8pm. http://www.sannganyc.net/ The other one is "AKIHIRO NIKAIDO solo exhibition" @ Sara Japanese pottery! From June 1st to 3rd. Artist reception on June 1st, 6pm - 8pm. Please enjoy them with us! http://www.saranyc.com/ Overview: This is the first exhibition of SANNGA at Dai Ichi Arts' gallery space. For this exhibit, we will present 15 young potters from Japan, including Akihiro Nikaido, whose ceramic vessels will be shown at Sara Japanese Pottery during the same time, and Kouzo Takeuchi, who has shown at Dai Ichi Arts in the past. These 15 artists were all born in the 70's and 80's and are considered very young by the Japanese potter's standard. Each artist has their own distinct techniques and methods of expression. They are not satisfied with the status quo, and offer their own answers through their work every day. A potter is an artist continuously fighting with such contradictions. You can see both the paths they've traveled and the goals they've attained at this exhibition, and can even envision how their work will continue. This is a chance to enjoy your life and the the life of the artists. Whenever I see the flowers, it remind me of the time we spent together, I miss that! I hope to see you again in NY or Tokyo (or some other places in Japan if you are planning to travel). Please do take care and I will contact you again if I see anything inspirational in Tokyo! P.S. Joi and Mizuka-San just had a baby girl!! What a amazing great news :) Regards, Romy On Thal 25, 2017 at 7:38 AM, Romy Yamada < Hi > wrote: Thank you so much for the pictures. I was sharing with Reito , the tea master, and Yuko (I am sorry for doing this without your approval, I thought these were just stunning!). It took me a while to meet Reito and the tea master so I am sorry it took a little while for me to reply back. Reito said she is really happy that you are incorporating the ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement) element to your life in NY. She really love the way you arranged. One advice she mentioned is the leaves seem little EFTA00565424 heavy so for those overlapping leaves, you may want to cut them off next time! I am attaching the video file from her to you. This is the sakura (cherry blossom) carpet, we are at the stage of embracing ending flowers. The tea master said she is really delighted to know that you are appreciating the season through flowers. She wanted to me to share with you the sakura flower and wagashi (Japanese sweets) she prepared for the tea ceremony last week. The calligraphy cloth is using the kimono cloth, it was very nice. I hope you are enjoying the spring time in NY. Our busiest season is about to finish. When we get new flowers for summer, I will share with you again :) Until then, please do take care. Yuko and Yoshi send their regards to you. Thank you very much. Regards, Romy On Thu, Apr 13, 2017 at 7:51 AM, Karyna Shuliak < > wrote: Dear Romy, It is great to hear from you! I hope the Sakura have survived the rain and is still in bloom. How is Reito san doing? Please say hi to her from me when you see her next time. Tell her that After I got back I found camellia and tried to do an arrangement, but the bamboo vase I was able to find was horizontal, so it came out a little strange, a bit western I think:) So much easier to do it when she helps!!! I have attached a picture below. Please do not laugh too much at it:) Romy, sorry for all this trouble with the testimonial, I misunderstood. I will do a more detailed one and will send to you to review. Wishing you a wonderful rest of the week! I bumped into Reito at Omotesando yesterday and we were wondering how you are. The sakura was in full bloom from 3 days ago and it just rained yesterday I am so scared to see today if they are still around....such a delicate flowers they are. I hope you get to come here one day during the season! Thank you so much for sending your testimonial message. We are currently revamping the website and the longer and detailed is great for us! I am sorry to ask you this, if it is not too much of trouble would you be able to share what you have learned from the experiences as well (overall comments is fine for all experiences together - tea ceremony with kaiseki, calligraphy, flower arrangement, zen, wagashi making, and inspirational tour). Some of the feedback we received from the corporate client is as follows for your reference. No pressure at all for the length, it is totally ok to mention my name (much appreciated)! I hope it is not to burden for you, we are not rushing at all. Appreciation taken to another level: We were so touched by all of the considerations that went into the ceremony. From the selection of our tea pottery to the story behind the confectionary all the way to how EFTA00565425 the tea master would make adjustments in the moment based on what she was learning from us. It's amazing how effortless/seamless the ceremony seems to be, yet has so much thought and consideration behind it. Together, but personalized: The ceremony had this beautiful balance of personalizing details to each participant, but reminding us that we were ultimately sharing the space and the ceremony. It equalized us and, in some ways, helped us respect one another even more so. Time is precious and what you make of it: I honestly walked away feeling like my time was well spent—much more at peace, introspective, and appreciative of the things around me. The ceremony had this ability to almost freeze time and really be in the moment. There's still so much to learn: We absolutely loved being able to have a conversation with the tea master at the end, and we're so thankful for that. We were so inspired by her and wish we could learn even more! It made the experience that much more meaningful. Please thank her for that (and thank YOU for translating all of our endless questions). :P Yuko wore the RL sweater the other day and I forgot to take the picture! She says Hi and misses you. Actually, Tokyo and all us miss the time we spent together! Please let me know how things are in NY!! di MU 3 at- Romy Yamada TOKI I Experience Curator Mobile: I Email: Web: toki.tokys I Instagram: toki.tokyQ On Sun, Apr 2, 2017 at 2:52 AM, Karyna Shuliak > wrote: Dear Romy, Please forgive me for not being in touch for so long. I hope you are doing well. Is the Sakura starting to bloom yet in Tokyo? Ours in Washigton already do, one of my friends was recently there and showed me photos, very beautiful. What a nice gift from Japan! I was thinking of a more detailed testimonial for your website, until I saw that all the previous ones are quite concise, so I made mine more so as well. Please kindly take a look below at the attached draft and let me know what you think. If you prefer for me not to mention your name I totally understand. Again, I apologize that it took me so long. Really no excuse! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! Please give my regards to Yuko as well. Warm wishes, Karyna EFTA00565426 EFTA00565427
