Natasha, at Amex. She is BY FAR better than the regular `team' person I spoke with after hours on Friday
and then again yesterday. I think she can help with hotel in Kyoto (its hard to speak to anyone at the hotel
because they are opposite hours of us...the Amex `over night' team was supposed to email and call both
hotels for availability and give word to Natasha)...and yes, i think the train will be easier to do on line...

On another note, do you and U want to share a room at the Grand Hyatt?...we need to make sure they
have double beds...and I am not sure about the Kyoto hotel...that may be a twin bed to each room? so
you would want 2 rooms...

Regarding the hotel in Kyoto, does Amex have a problem with it? Because Joi and his wife
recommended those hotels to us, but I don't know if they will be able to help us with the reservation.

Amex has to get back to me re the Tawaraya Ryokan and Hiiragiya (maybe this is something Joi Ito
could help with?). Once we confirm your hotel in Kyoto we can make the reservations for the train. I
suggest making the reservations for the train on line so you have electronic tickets (Amex can only
issue paper tickets and we have had problems with Amex and rail tickets in the past...)
