Complete JE to view NANNA 4 Stroke Engine Larry's info on 2 & 4-stroke engines: 1. The 300 hp Yamaha HPDI engine is not avail until mid-Dec. The noise level will be comparable to the 250 hp Yamaha & may not be worth the increased weight for the boat only to gain 5 mph in speed. It is certainly worth waiting for the big 4- stroke engine due out next year — with noticeable vibration & noise reduction. 2. 225 hp is the largest Yamaha 4 stroke at this time. 3. Mercury Outboards — they are scheduled to announce In Line 6 cylinder 250 hp 4 stroke engine at the Feb 2004 boat show. This engine will be supercharged & have a growth potential up to 350-400 hp after reliability has been proven. JE advised to wait until Jan.
