From: "Larsen, Janet" To: "Ghisleine Maxwell (E-mail)" <IMIMINIM> Subject: New York versus Brazil Date: Mon, 24 Mar 2003 07:29:12 +0000 Dear Ghisleine, I am really glad we managed to make contact the other day. I guess the stars were lining up: Sophie mentioned you a few weeks ago, and a few days later, as I was unpacking a box (I have moved into a house I bought some time ago that the builders still haven't finished, and out of denial I unpack a box now and then just to insist that this is my home), a scrap of paper with your telephone number surfaced. As my birthday was coming up and I am spending it in New York while on a business trip, I thought it might be a good excuse to ring you, to see if you could join us. For your sake I hope your trip to Brazil works out, for my sake I hope you will join us in New York! It would be nice to see you again, and I would love to swap Colombia stories with you. I am intrigued whether you must have come across the people I was introduced to Colombia through. I began my adventures there with Helen of Yugoslavia and Thierry Gaubert, friends from Paris. They are very friendly with Prastrano - I think his wife Nora is French? Anyway, I am going down there to stay with them again at Easter. The plan on Monday March 31st, as it stands now, is a table for eight people at 66 at 21:30. Booby (I think you know him, he was Emma Gibb's man for years, and now I work with him) is fussing about going downtown, but hey, its my birthday! I seem to have an over abundance of men for the evening for some reason, so it would be great if you could come lend me a hand. I don't remember exactly what you said your timing is for Brazil, but in case you are around next weekend in New York, I am arriving late Friday, the 28th. My mobile (444 77 11 423 529) works in the US, and the telephone number at the Four Seasons where I am staying is 758 5700. Sorry if I was awkward on the 'phone last week; someone was prancing on the doorstep to my office waiting to ask me something, so I was trying to camouflage what I was saying to you. Basically, I just wanted to tell you my funny story of committing a faux pas with the 42 president of the United States. Maybe if you have a chance you could extend him apologies from the lady in the red dress at Blenheim (he did ask my name twice but I doubt he will remember). It is a pity that I wasn't better able as a diplomat on behalf of Learning for Life.... Hoping to see you this weekend, or Monday. Let me know. Wishing you all the best, Janet Internet Disclaimer: The above information is confidential to the addressee and may be privileged. Unauthorised access and use is prohibited.
