One phrase resonates in my mind when I think of the illustrious Ghislaine Maxwell
"Anything you want"
I told you that I would take you up on it eventually but I had no idea it would be so soon.
But, desperate times call for desperate measures. So, first let me give you bit of background
and then I will issue my challenge.
The Problem
I arrived here two weeks ago, which means that I have had two weekends or four nights of
London club experience. Out of those four nights I would say that one was a partial success
and the other three were complete failures--now, lets not get ahead of ourselves here,
"partial success" means that we actually got in somewhere, nothing too exciting. It seems
that the London bar/ club scene runs on a very exclusive "members only" basis.
Otherwise you have to call a place miles in advance to reserve a spot for yourself on a given
night, which takes all spontaneity out of the weekend experience. This aggression will not
stand.
The Challenge
I need to become a member at four or five key clubs, and I need to do it fast. This should
be pretty challenging for you considering that there in no point person, and most of the
contacts will be fairly low level bouncer types that will be difficult to manage. Somehow
though I feel like you might have a connection or two in this realm.
I know that I can apply for membership to these places on my own, but from what I hear it
takes a very long time to accomplish and it is a process that requires recommendations along
the way. My problems are 1) I don't have a very long time to wait, and 2) I have no local
recommendations to let the club community know that indeed, I am the life of the party.
I'll have to do a tiny bit more research on which clubs would serve as a solid anchor here,
but I wanted to know if this was a request that falls under the "anything you want" umbrella,
or if I should save the request for an even rainier climate?
Let me know what you think. Thanks,
Jason
