As we discussed, the material comes in two thicknesses, 45 mils and 60 mils. The work is the same for both and is as follows: Prepare roof as necessary Install'/." polystyrene foam (this allows for a clean working surface but provides virtually no R-value). Install thermoplastic membrane 1 year labor warranty 10 year material on 45 mil and 15 year on 60 mil. The roof will have to be inspected every 5 years to maintain the warranty. The maintenance inspection is 500.00 each occurrence. The material will be tan or white in color, they are priced the same. The material comes in rolls of 10ft. wide by 100 ft. long. The material will be attached to the roof deck using 2" plates and rust-proof coated screws, along the perimeter of each roll. The membranes perimeter will be overlapped to cover the plates and screws and then fused together. This process will happen throughout the entire roof. The material will run up to the top of the parapets and be secured with termination bar and screws. The canales will be lined with the membrane, and all roof penetrations will be booted_ All seams not fused together (penetrations, canales, parapets) will be caulked at the top, with a one component urethane. The HVAC unit will need to be lifted and the membrane will be put underneath it.
