It is my distinct pleasure to invite you to serve on the Board of Directors of the
U.S. Chamber of Commerce's U.S.-Israel Business Initiative. As a leader of this
organization, you will be at the forefront of the private sector's efforts to secure and
strengthen the commercial relationship between the United States and Israel.
As you may know, the U.S. Chamber is the world's largest business
organization representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes,
sectors, and regions. The U.S. Chamber's U.S.-Israel Business Initiative (USIBI) is the
only Washington-based national program focused on promoting policies and business
partnerships that strengthen the economies of both countries.
The Board will include a small group of senior business and political leaders
from the United States and Israel who will champion our bilateral commercial
relationship and guide the work of the USIBI.
Prime Minister Bank, your participation in this important initiative would
impart to our work significant credibility and enhance our ability to safeguard the
U.S.-Israel economic relationship.
The Board will meet once a year around a major annual forum, and rotate
meetings between Israel and the United States. Roles and responsibilities of board
members include:
• Governing the U.S.-Israel Business Initiative, by helping to set broad policy
priorities and objectives;
• Serving as a key advocate and spokesperson for the Initiative's agenda with
governments and the public at large and promoting the Initiative's mission;
