Hughes Paralegal/Office Administrator RE: Jeffrey Epstein Dear Jack: This will confirm my conversation with Jeffrey yesterday and our conversation of this morning that for reasons that we discussed, I will not be taking over any of the cases in the Epstein matter. I understand you did not want me to talk to Critton about this until you and Jeffrey have made a decision as to what you want to do and please let me know as soon as possible since a number of new Federal cases have just been filed and are going to need to be responded to. There is only one signed Stipulation of Counsel and that has, to my knowledge, not been filed or approved by the Judge so it is simply a matter of letting opposing counsel know that Mr. Critton is staying on the case, at least for now, and that I will not be entering an appearance on any of these cases. As I told Jeffrey, Keith Puya of the Stephens, Lynn firm and I talked about this over the weekend and he told me his firm had the manpower, in-house appellate attorneys, and the resources to take this case over immediately and give them the attention they need especially since the Federal cases have upcoming discovery deadlines. Mr. Puya is an aggressive, well experienced defense lawyer and his office is in the same building with Bob Critton's so that is one option. EFTA00601089
