From: To: Jeffrey Epstein <jeevacation@gmail.com> Subject: Fwd: Study Abroad for Under represented Students at Minority Serving Institutions (MSI) Date: Wed, 07 Jan 2015 18:00:43 +0000 Forwarded message From: Keith Rhodes Date: Wed, Jan 7, 2015 at 12:39 PM Subject: Study Abroad for Under represented Students at Minority Serving Institutions (MSI) To: ”jelfsry_@jeffEyostein.org" <jtfm'y_@jeffreyspstein.org> Hi Mr. Epstein, My name is Keith Rhodes, I am a consultant hired by (CIEE) The Council on International Education Exchange www.ciee.org. A nonprofit, nongovernmental organization. CIEE is the world leader in international education and exchange. For more than 65 years CIEE has helped thousands of people gain the knowledge and skills necessary to live and work in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world by offering the most comprehensive, relevant, and valuable exchange programs available. We began more than 65 years ago with a mission: to help people gain understanding, acquire knowledge, and develop skills for living in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world. It's an undertaking we've been proud to pursue for over six decades. We change lives; our alumni change the world. I am charged with increasing access to under represented minority students in study abroad. I call on all of the (MSI's) Minority Serving Institutions which are; (HSI) Hispanic Serving Institutions, (AANAPISI) Asian American Native Alaskan and Pacific Island Serving Institutions, (HBCU) Historical Black Colleges and Universities, (PBI) Predominantly Black Institutions, and (TCU) Tribal Colleges and Universities. I am not reaching out to you on behalf of CIEE rather on the behalf of the MSI's that we are trying to increase their access to study abroad. Many of the students at these institutions are first generation college students from modest families that need financial assistance so that they can study abroad. I would like your help in establishing an endowment for all minority students who wish to study abroad. I do not want to mandate that they have to go through our organization. If they want to study abroad and have the financial need then I want to provide the means for them to go study abroad and receive all of the benefits from the experience. Please take a look and a recent partnership that we developed with Spelman College that is a model of what we would like to duplicate at many other MSI's. With your help, we can make study abroad available to all students that wish to go. https://cieewebteam.wistia.com/medias/1j03g0vv5I Thank you for all of the wonderful work that you continue to do and for your consideration of my request. I hope to hear from you and wish you...ALL GOOD THINGS! Keith Rhodes EFTA00630856 MEDIA/PR Jeffrey Epstein VI Foundation EFTA00630857
