Hello Insiders,
To those affected by Hurricane Harvey: You're in our thoughts.
If you're anything like me, you've spent a good part of your week glued to The New
York Times's coverage of the storm — coverage made possible by roughly two
dozen reporters, photojournalists and videographers sent to cover the hurricane
and its aftermath. Here's a look at how their reporting was coordinated.
And in case you missed it amid all our other articles: Clifford Krauss, a national
energy business correspondent, filed a particularly moving dispatch from his
home in Bellaire, Tex. — as it was flooding.
Looking for a break from the storm? Take an Insider peek at the work of
Concepcion de Leon, The Times's Newsbook columnist. Or join Jan Hoffman, a
science reporter, as she considers the similarities between her job and that of
disease intervention specialists.
Until next week,

P.S. Have you, too, been swept up by "Game of Thrones"? If so, join us on
Wednesday, Sept. 6, for a conference call with Gilbert Cruz, The Times's television
editor; Sopan Deb, a culture reporter; and Jeremy Egner, our in-house "Game of
Thrones" expert. They will discuss all things Westeros and share their suggestions
for what to watch during the long wait for the show's eighth (and final) season.
