An Origins Project Dialogue with Hugh Downs
Join television legend and Emmy Award winner Hugh Downs and Origins Project director
Lawrence Krauss on Tuesday, February 16 at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts for an
intimate discussion of taboos in journalism and society at large. Seventy Years of Life on TV:
Politics, Religion, Sex and Science will feature the former Today Show host discussing his more
than 50 years of influence in media, the changing landscape of public knowledge, and the few
taboos that remain in modern journalism. Don't miss out on what is sure to be an enlightening
evening!

100 Years of General Relativity
100 years ago, Albert Einstein forever changed our view of space, time, and the cosmos. Join
some of the world's top experts on Friday, January 22 for the culmination of a year long
centenary celebration of Albert Einstein's developments of the theory of general relativity.
Einstein himself would be amazed at what has transpired over the last century, from black holes
to an accelerating universe!
The panel discussion will feature Kip Thorne, Frank Wilczek, Adam Riess, and Diana K.
Buchwald in conversation with moderator Lawrence Krauss. Gain new insights into Einstein and

An Origins Project Dialogue with Mariette DiChristina
Join us on Friday, April 22 for an evening with trailblazing science journalist Mariette DiChristina
and Lawrence Krauss for a discussion on the role of science in our life and how to better fuse the
relationship between science and journalism in the digital age. DiChristina is Editor-in-Chief and
Senior Vice President of Scientific American , the longest continuously published magazine in
the US, former president of the National Association of Science Writers, and has been honored
as a Corporate Visionary by the Folio Top Women in Media Awards.
