EFTA00639861 speech competition Omar Mobley C-Tech and Speeches for Academy Scholars This semester, the Maya Angelou Academy is offering C-Tech a vocational training program, to its scholars. In addition, the school hosted its fifth annual Speech Competition on November 6th. Shakira Hawkins Student Essay Shakira Hawkins "I never thought that I would have the opportunity of going away to experience college life at such a young age..." High School senior and aspiring veterinarian, Shakira Hawkins, was selected to participate in a prestigious six-week pre-college Student Success Story Omar Mobley Omar Mobley refused to give up on his education and today, you can see him on the cranes surrounding the Maya Angelou Learning Center. Student Demographic Data for 2014-2015 Every September, school counselors interview students about their academic and socio-emotional histories.
