As we enter into this holiday season, I can't help but
reflect on the past year at Maya. There have been
days that tried our patience, our stamina, our
resiliency and our resolve. However, amidst the
discipline problems, construction noise, and other
stress-inducing challenges, our staff and colleagues

This semester, the Maya Angelou
Academy is offering C-Tech a
vocational training program, to its
scholars. In addition, the school
hosted its fifth annual Speech
Competition on November 6th.

Launch of YALC Complete Program
The Young Adult Learning Center is proud to officially unveil our full-day
integrated program-YALC Complete! As the name suggests, this is an
opportunity for students to take full advantage of the full spectrum of
programming offered here.
Student Demographic Data for 2014-2015
Every September, school counselors interview students about their
academic and socio-emotional histories. Counselors and teachers use
this information to create unique student-centered academic and behavior
programs. See data and graphs here.
