From: drsra To: Trent Steele Date: Thu, 31 May 2012 18:03:24 +0000 I agree with a counter offer of $75,000.00. I will find out what I can about J. Hattie. I will also call my personal contact at the local Regions to scoit out what I can RE: Hattie. - - On Thu, 5/31/12, Trent Steele From: Trent Steele Subject: RE: Regions To: "drsra" Date: Thursday, May 31, 2012, 12:25 PM wrote: Oddly, we received a phone call from someone named Tiffany from Regions this morning. They asked my receptionist whether we represented you and if so, what matters we were representing you on. My receptionist confirmed that we represented you but correctly refused to tell her what matter or matters we represented you on. When she tried to ask what matter involving you she was calling about, my receptionist said she hung up. Very professional. I suspect she heard our auto attendant recording that we handle bankruptcy matters and she was concerned you were filing for bankruptcy. To the best of my knowledge I never got a phone call from Linda Conaway that was unreturned. Most of my communication w/ her was by email and I checked and don't see any response to my last email to her on April 13 except to ask for your tax returns on April 16. Very strange. I then called Charlotte from Regions Bank and told her to stop calling you. I confirmed that you had no ability or intention to pay $209,000 and that we had made an offer to settle and had asked for a counter. After a considerable amount of aggravation, she said she could settle for 85% of the debt or $178,000. I told her that was unacceptable but would relay the information to her. I told her you really weren't interested in a payment plan but might be able to borrow some money from family to pay a lump sum. I suggest we counter at $75,000 and see what she says. I want to also tell her about the fellow from Regions Bank (J. Hartle?) who aided Hardman in getting you to open the line of credit. Can you see if you can find out any more information about him? I found a Jim Hartle who works for Capital Bank in Albany, NY but don't know if that's the same guy. I tried calling Regions to speak w/ him but got nowhere. I'm wondering if you stopped into the bank you could find out any information on him. She said she was from the Recovery Dept. and after going around with her she basically said she wants the entire $209,000.00 paid if full. I told her I had made an offer thru you to Linda Conaway and we had heard nothing. She finally said the offer was rejected and you never returned her call. so the loan was determined to be in default and turned over to her. She wanted me to pay it all abck or set up a payment plan (the same as the original offer from Linda). When I told EFTA00642062 her to call you she kept asking whether I was instructing her to only speak with my lawyer. She was very precise and parsed words constantly. I left it with her I would contact you and either you or I would call her. Her contact info is: Charlotte I did tell her I was not going to repay the loan in full. Steve EFTA00642063
