Attached is correspondence regarding new projector recommended:
A quick overview of new projector they are recommending vs original model recommended:
New Model Name: NC DLA-RS65
Old Model Name: DP Projection M-Vision Cine 400
New Model Equipment Cost: 12,250
Old Model Equipment Cost: 12,995
New Model Lumens: 1200
Old Model Lumens: 5500
New Model Contrast Ratio: 120,000:1
Old Model Contrast Ratio: 2,000: 1
I am a bit concerned from their lack of knowledge that original projector lens was discontinued. In addition
when i originally asked them for comparative models
this JVC model was never mentioned. I did a quick intemet search and see that their equipment cost is being
marked up over 50% as this can be bought on amazon for $8,195
Please advise

Digital Projections is the 1st on our list of projectors we recommend to our clients. Normal procedure is we plug the
numbers into DP's calculator, price customer is willing to spend, distance from projector to the screen and the size of the
lift or area where the projector will live and it gives us the model that will work. If DP models don't work then we move
down the list JVC, Sharp, Epson, NEC and so on until we find something that fits into the parameters needed. Any and all
equipment we recommend and are dealers of have been thoroughly tested and vetted for performance and quality. Our
clients come first and we would never recommend anything, whether it's a projector or a DVD player, that we don't
stand behind 100%.
The Sony model that's currently there is a 3000:1 contrast ratio with a lumens of 1600. The JVC we are recommending is
120,000:1 contrast ratio and a lumens of 1200, this is the highest contrast ratio in the industry. It is full 1080p HD and is
capable of up to 4x HD, the lens is a built in motorized lens that allows zoom and focus for different screen sizes and can
achieve Cinemascope without the need of a anamorphic lens. There will be no issue with the lens as we had with the DP
and from my conversations with Richard who told me about searching the country for the last lens available for the Sony
a few years back. This projector is also 3D ready.
I feel totally comfortable recommending this projector especially with it working within the confines of the price
specified by the principal. I'm sure he will be extremely pleased with it.

Hi Richard,
As per our conversation earlier this week the Digital Projections unit we speced in is no longer viable due to the
discontinuation of the lens needed for the throw distance to the screen, the measurement from the projector to the
screen. The remaining 2 lenses that DP have would require the projector either be moved closer or farther away which
obviously is not an option.
Another projector we recommend is the DLA-RS65 reference series by JVC
) This is an extremely solid
model and falls into the principal's price range, it's THX certified and offers over 120,000:1 native contrast ratio. Similar
to the Sony that's currently there the video processing of the JVC is exactly how the filmmaker intended them to be
displayed. The price of this model is $12,250 and we can get it within days. Let me know if you have any questions.
