From: Lvjet <Ivjet@aol.com> To: Subject: GIV interior Date: Sat, 08 Feb 2014 19:01:06 +0000 Eric and Jay, Jeffrey and I spoke with Kearney yesterday regarding improving the db levels in the GIV,. I listed some highlights of our conversation: -The better we seal the interior cocoon, the better db levels will be achieved. -make sure the seat bases have acoustical padding on floor boards under the seat frames. -its important the Spraga window shades seal properly to prevent air leaks, this is a large source of noise. -while parked in St Thomas, due to cabin heat, the emergency exit window become unglued, instead of regular Velcro, can we use "Super Velcro" to secure the side panels? -I know you are working on a solution for better acoustical padding for headliner and side panels, Keamey recommended installing acoustical material on the back side of side panels since they are removed at this time, if there is room, in addition to attaching material to fuselage skin between window frames. -tray table and cup holders need to be sealed also, these are all sources of cabin noise, -Keamey also states that acoustical material / padding behind bulk head material is a plus also, I think you have padding under the fwd bulk head fabric. -Keamey also mentions we should have channels in the acoustical material, to prevent air leaks, Monday I'll confirm with Keamey exactly what he is referring to on this item,. I'm sure you are aware the above items, its just a reminder, thx, I'll see you Monday morning. Larry EFTA00652333
