From: Joscha Bach To: Jeffrey Epstein <jeevacation@gmail.com> Subject: Re: Date: Mon, 25 Jan 2016 05:52:43 +0000 Dear Jeffrey, I have banded together with Adam Marblestone (he did his PhD with George Church and is now in Ed Boyden's group at the MIT), and a couple of graduate students that help me to test my ideas about self-organizing neural structures, and we are writing a proposal to explore the design space of cognitive architectures, i.e. look at all the currently existing (and heavily conflicting) models of what part of the brain does what, and how mental representations are stored in the brain. We find that there is too little translation between AI, neuroscience and psychology. Also, I will teach another AI class in the spring term. I will see if we can spawn student projects there to contribute to my cognitive architecture. I have just conversed with Helen Fisher and hope to see her in NYC on Wednesday afternoon. If you are in town and would like to meet me, that would be wonderful. With grateful greetings, Joscha PS: Did you have a look at the hacker conference talk? It contains a few novel ideas about the spread of beliefs in societies, and the relationship between concepts and mental simulations. v=DATQKB7656E Am 24.01.2016 um 06:09 schrieb jeffrey E. <jeevacation@gmail.com>: what are you working on? please note The information contained in this communication is confidential, may be attorney-client privileged, may constitute inside information, and is intended only for the use of the addressee.
