Do we need formal appraisals of RE? - Melanie says she has no records on the guns, will have to ask Leon when he is back, not really sure how much value there is here. - I assume it makes sense to have the Black Family Partners valuation updated for 6/30. As reports come in from the various managers over the next two weeks, I will assemble the package to send over to Empire. - The long list of old partnerships he owns are small in value relative to the total picture-no more than $5mi1 collectively I would guess. I typically use K-1 values when I report since I do not get current statements- OK? I never heard back from you re my email on timing of appraisal for the boat-I got approval for the appraisal company the Capt wants to use. Should we have appraisal done in Europe or wait — sounds crazy but the Capt said he thought the bank would pay to have the appraiser flown over. Also, I will resend you my note on AIF IV-ready to speak about this when you are. Had a call earlier with Tom Turrin and his partner and John Hannan on the plane-they are working on this. Otherwise, still working on structure for Phaidon-still not there. Moving along on the RE front. Closed on the purchase of the house in SH by the '97 Trust. I have architect doing preliminary work on a plan for the family office space for Leon to review when he returns and the building we are considering will give us temporary quarters which are actually quite decent as soon as we sign. We have a couple of good possibilities for Phaidon's NY office-had hoped to get this done before Leon left but had a complication with the space he liked best. We have to pay for the Raphael next week. Have several candidates coming thru for permanent paralegal position next week. Haven't made any progress on the tax/accountant person. Honestly, just haven't had time to spend on this. I have Phil Stressler coming in again on Monday-mixed feelings on proceeding with him but not getting anywhere on my own - He will provide practical help on sourcing family office basics we need to set up - we should speak on this.
