I'd be honored to participate. Is the event open to the public? I have several colleagues, friends, and family who might be interested in attending. Please let me know if you are planning a preparatory gathering in the weeks ahead. I look forward to meeting you, Mr Unkrich, and Dr Reuben in advance of or on Sunday April 8th. Sincerely, Mark On Tue, Jan 30, 2018 at 7:49 PM, Vicky Goodman wrote: Dear Dr. Tramo, I am writing to you on behalf of UCLA's Friends of the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior. We sponsor the Open Mind, a community lecture and film series that brings together thought leaders in science and culture to present programs about mental health issues free to the public at UCLA. We are very excited to be hosting a screening of the Academy-award nominated and Golden Globe winning Pixar animated feature film, Coco on Sunday, April 9th at 11AM at the Melnitz Theater at UCLA. If you have not yet seen it, this film is about music and memory, dementia, family, and remembering those who have passed with the Mexican tradition of The Day of the Dead. Coco was conceived and directed by Lee Unkrich. We just learned today that Mr. Unkrich will join us for a post-screening discussion. As a professor of both music and neurology, the Director of the Institute for Music and Brain Science at UCLA, and a faculty advisor to Music Mends Minds, we would be honored if you would share your knowledge and expertise with our audience and join Lee Unkrich and Dr. David Reuben, Chair of the Department of Geriatric Medicine at UCLA, for a conversation about music, the mind, and memory. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. For more information about The Friends and our Open Mind programs, I invite you to visit our website at www.friendsofthcscmclinstitute.org. Please be sure to click on Past Events to see the depth and breathe of the over 80 Open Mind programs we have previously sponsored. Thank you again.
