If you feel the problem is with your immediate supervisor, you may skip step 1 and start the grievance procedure with Step 2. Step 2: Request to meet with your Department Head. Your Department Head will review the problem (including any action taken by your immediate supervisor) and any other relevant facts involved in order to suggest a reasonable solution. In order to facilitate a fair and timely solution, you must contact your Department Head within three days of the occurrence that created the question or problem (if you skipped Step 1) or within two days of your supervisor's resolution (if you followed Step 1. If you are not satisfied with your Department Head's handling of the problem, you may proceed to Step 3. Step 3: Request to meet with the Managing Director, or a designated representative, will thoroughly investigate the problem, review Club policies, procedures, rules and regulations and will make a determination. In order to facilitate a fair and timely solution, you must contact the Managing Director within two days of your Department Head’s determination. The Managing Director, or his or her designee, may review the matter and offer a final decision. Time spent by an employee in discussing a complaint with management during normal working hours will be considered hours worked for pay purposes. When two or more employees have a common or similar complaint, the employees may select a spokesperson to represent the group. The final decision on the complaint submitted by several employees through a spokesperson will be binding on all members of the group. If at any time you feel uncomfortable with this process, as it is outlined here, please feel free to contact the Managing Director to assist you before taking further action.
