I noticed on Wednesday night the room was not maintaining Temperature of 62 degrees. I reset the unit, everything was good. Thursday night the same thing again, Contacted Honeywell to come in on Friday. They reviewed operation of unit and found, when the unit cycled into heating mode the compressor would trip out on high head pressure. Due to the specific Design of this unit, their tech checked with the Manufacture to confirm Problem and Fix. Manufacture recommend replacing the Reversing Valve. Honeywell can replace Reversing Valve Monday, the unit will be off line most of the day. I do not have formal proposal at this time, but cost should be around $2500.00 to do so. Secondly, we have had to replace the compressor in Library unit and one of the two compressors and reversing valve in the Living unit. The Living Room unit has been on my watch list for sometime. Both units are original to build and have had compressor replacements 6 to 7 years ago. Please note these units run 24/7 to maintain temperature and humidity levels in Library and Living room. The cost for these repairs, $5500.00 each Lastly, Horizon Mechanical ceased providing service to the Ranch in April 2017, I have reached out to numerous companies asking if they would be interested in providing a PMA for the system. All have declined for various reasons, ranging from complexity of system, location, already over committed. I am aware Honeywell Costs are high and repair costs will effect operational budget. I am still looking for a company to support and maintain the system at a reasonable cost. Can I proceed with the repair of the Master bedroom unit?
