Dear Jeffrey,
I hope that this email finds you well.
I am truly sorry to be bothering you with yet another email. However, I am kindly and humbly wondering if you
have had the time to speak with Ried Hoffman?
As always, if there is anything I can assist you with, please do let me know.
Yours,

Concerning an assistant:
I just wanted to let you know that if you are in need of an assistant during the summer (July), I am more than
willing to help / assist you in any way that I can. If not, I understand, but just wanted to let you know that I am
available.
I wish you a good afternoon!
Yours sincerely,

I have two quick questions concerning a personal assistant: What type of background and experiences
should the assistant preferably have? Furthermore, what type of personality type would you prefer?
I wish you a good afternoon,
Yours sincerely,

Dear Jeffrey,
Thank you very very much: I cannot enough emphasise how much it means to me.
I did not know that you were still looking for an assistant. I will get back to you about this shortly.
Once again, THANK YOU.

However, I am very kindly and humbly wondering if you would be willing to make an email
introduction between Ried Hoffman and me? When I met Ried Hoffman last Sunday, he wanted me to
email you to ask you to introduce me to him. However, if you are unwilling to do this for me, I totally
and fully understand. But, if this is the case, may I very kindly ask you to let me know?
Once again THANK YOU for allowing me to tell Ried Hoffman that I am a friend of yours. I cannot

I was able to meet Ried Hoffman in person and I did let him know I am a friend of you (he told me
that he had received an email from you today). He asked me to ask you to introduce me to him,
through an email, so that Read Hoffman can set up a Skype meeting with me.
Thus, may I kindly ask, would you be willing to do this for me?

First of all, I hope that this email finds you well.
I have a vague memory that you know Marcus Wallenberg; that you drove through Sweden
with him many, many years ago? (I might be mistaken though). I will have dinner with him
tomorrow night; if you do know / knew him and if you want, I am happy to send him your
regards.
Ried Hoffman writes in his book The Startup of You that he prefers individuals that hassle
and are persistent.
As you don't get anywhere in life if you are not determined, I feel that I have to ask, once
again, if you would be willing to ask Ried Hoffman if he would be willing to meet me, if only
for a few minutes, when he is visiting
on Sunday (the 5th)? Needless to say, I will be
available to meet him when and where he prefers.
Jeffrey, I do apologize for asking a second time, but as Ried Hoffman also writes in his book,
the answer is not 'no' until you have received an answer.
In his book, Hoffman furthermore stresses that he is interested in designing 'human
ecosystem with technolo
and finance'. What I and m:row are t in: to do is exactl
this —
. Kenya and Rwanda is investing heavily in
start-ups, are the second most connected region in the world, yet have no dominant social
media site at the same time as companies' reference recruitment and skill shortages as one of
their five major challenges when doing business in Africa.
Once again, I am sorry to be bothering you.
I truly mean it, if there is anything I can do for you, it would be a privilege to help.

I am well, thank you. I hope that also you are well (?)
I have one question, and if you have the time / would be willing to give me some advice, I
would be more than grateful. If not, please ignore the bellow.
Background:
After having visited Africa this spring, and after several in-depth conversations concerning
skill shortages and international companies' recruitment challenges when expanding over
the African continent with professor Ncube (vice president of the African Develo u ment
Bank, former Dean of Wits Business School in South Africa, investor, fellow at

. I.e., my ambition is to help
Scandinavian (or European?) companies with recruitment and branding when they are
expanding over the continent (several Scandinavian companies are increasing their
presence in Africa, and, at least according to data, this is likely to continue). My ambition
is to engage with students at top Universities in Africa (through branding activities) and
incentivise students / alumnus to submit an application/ upload a profile on a digitalised
EFTA00691461
database. I would then be able to use this database to help companies find the talent they
need. I will try to make the database 'sticky' though Apps, games, quizzes, etc.
Question:
I am considering spending the summer travelling to a few African countries to meet
managers at international companies in order to `collect' information of what talent/
branding/ recruitment challenges they face. However, before making this investment, may I
kindly ask, do you think this is an idea worth while trying? I have great respect to you; any
advice, recommendations, or comments, would be highly, highly appreciated.
Furthermore, if you believe that this is an endeavour worth while trying, would you
recommend me to try to corporate with a larger company? (Either a recruitment company,
branding company, or a social media company?) Linkedln is not yet big in Africa.
Once again, I am sorry if I am bothering you.
Kind regards from a rainy

I have hesitated to reach out to you earlier (as I might be bothering you). However, if

Also, may I ask, do you know Bob Wigley? (I am meeting him in a couple of weeks)
I am sorry if I am bothering you, and, as always, I do understand if you do not have
the time to speak with me.

Dear Jeffrey,
It was a true privilege and pleasure meeting you again last night; THANK YOU for
interesting conversations, your hospitality, and for inviting us.
I am sorry to bother you but I am kindly wondering if I may disturb you with two
questions; thus, would you have the time to either meet me or talk with me on Skype
(or on the phone) at any point? I do know that your time is precious and I of course
understand if this is not possible.
Once again, thank you for a very nice and memorable evening last night.
