Subject: Re: Date: Sat, 31 Jan 2015 19:04:07 +0000 Dear Jeffrey, I passed by your street yesterday, I of course thought about you, and I just wanted to reach out to say 'hello'. How are you? I really hope that you are well and that 2015 has started out well for you. Many warm warm regards (from an ice cold NYC), On Mon, Dec 29, 2014 at 7:43 AM, > wrote: Dear Jeffrey, I hope that everything is well and that you had a wonderful Christmas. I am writing just to wish you a very happy, healthy and prosperous 2015! May the New Year be a good one for you and for your loved once. I want you to know that the discussions and the email communications we have had during this past year has meant much to me. I feel immensely honored and privileged just to be able to email you, and I cannot enough say thank you for your time and engagement and I do take your advice seriously. Indeed, two of my strongest memories from 2014 were when you wrote to me that you wanted to pay the money for me to go somewhere in the world and when I actually landed in Harare. Traveling to Zimbabwe was a dream coming true. THANK YOU Jeffrey. Once again — I want to wish you all the best for 2015! lva i r lcind regards, On Tue, Dec 23, 2014 at 3:51 PM, > wrote: Dear Jeffrey, Thank you very much for your quick reply and formost for your advice. I have been thinking about you for the past week, but I have honestly not wanted to disturb you as you have been very kind and generous with your time this autumn. First of all, I hope that you are well wherever in the world you are! I am sincerely and very very sorry that you think that I was un-polite when we last met. I asked the question to show my interest for Reid Hoffman and his background — NOT to be shameless, bold, and with no other intention than to show him that I was interested. I felt that it was too egoistic of me to sit there and only speak about my trip to Zimbabwe and myself. May I kindly ask, in this particular situation; what would you have advised me to talk about? What questions would have been fine to ask? I must note, however, that it was such a privilege to meet you again and Reid Hoffman that morning. I went to H&M the 8th of December as planned but a problem arose. I had, prior to departure, had meetings with the person responsible for visas at H&M. I had been told that all my papers were in order. However, I had not been advised that I needed an American social security number to work for them (I have been able to use my one for five years). H&M acknowledge that it was not my fault (as I had made sure that I fulfilled their requirements) but that I could not start to work until I have an American social security number. As it takes about 2 - 6 weeks to get one, I had to return home to (as it is too expensive to be in NY without a salary). I will return to NYC again after Christmas (probable before New Years Eve). Last week I got another possibility from an investor in NYC. Jeffrey; I cannot enough articulate how sorry I am that my behavior came across as un-polite. I also wanted to wish you a fantastic Christmas; may it be filled with much joy.
