Feb 2nd symposium on Climate Change science...with the world's experts, and public event. March 29th--Origins Stories 2 day event.. with world premiere of the new flim.. and lots of celebs, and some scientists.. You might want to plan to come. Two questions.. 1. Might you be willing to fly Woody Allen in for the march 29th event, since he is in the new film. We may have a very nice brunch on Sat at Jahm's place for donors as well.. whether or not you bring him, would you be interested? 2. on another completely separate issue.. might you be willing to underwrite, for a certain number of years, and Origins Postdoctoral Scholar program, to fund 3-5 Origins Postdocs working on key issues with faculty here? Cost per postdoc, probably $1001Uyr including salary, indirect costs, and some research budget. so maybe $400-500KJyr for 3-5 years? Would help jump start research programs and bring faculty together... just a thought.. was in Santa Barbara, where Mike Gazzanga's institute of mind has something like that, and our advisory board last year recommended postdoc support as a high priority.
