yes, but that's the way it goes: you try many things in order to succeed and be able to earn money. In my
case, to approach people, present yourself in best possible way, make people now you, make them love you,
want to see you again and again. Then they either book you for performances for them or they come
wherever you play and they pay for hearing your music. First I need to be seen and playing EVERYWHERE is
one of the best keys of being seen..
I know that Leon or Yoyo Ma can say this idea is silly, because they see things from different prospective.
They achieved recognition in their own ways. Leon can say it's not serious. many things that are new or
untraditional often seem for people(especially older generation) strange, unacceptable, not serious. But
what if people really like it? a lot of people don't even want serious thing. they want something new,
something unusual..
I don't know...maybe it is a silly idea indeed... but somehow i have this strong feeling inside that i should try
doing it.. of course, best would be trying to play it myself and experience how does it feel, what is the sound
like..that would make it easer to decide.

taking the music to them, is a beutiful concept. . however, you need to make money to live and have a
real life. . that needs to be yours and your sisteres focus. classes instruments schools are tools. they

assist in the job, your focus needs to be the job not the tools.. I know how stressful this is. im sorry for
you. but there is no shortcut.

Of course, compared to his beautiful Stradivarius, carbon cello has an awful sound..
yet I believe it would be a great advantage to have an instrument that can be played
under any circumstances, in any weather conditions. Classical wooden violin was
meant to be played in concert halls or indoors in general. Nowadays, there is a huge
demand of performances in very untraditional places and many times the conditions
for wooden instrument can be very harmful..
People are bored of hearing concerts in concert halls and become more and more
attracted by idea of experiencing new things. If audience doesn't want to come to us
anymore, we, musicians, have to go to them and bring the music outside the concert
hall into the world!! however, every time when playing in untraditional places that
are not meant to be used for playing wooden instrument, one has to considerate the
fact that it might be harmful for the instrument.. I myself could not even DARE to do
such thing as the violin I play is loaned to me and is not my property..
I agree that the sound quality might not be as good as the one of Stardivarius or
Guarneri and I would definitely continue playing wooden violin as well. Having two
instruments would give me much more versatility and could be a great advantage in
expanding the possibilities to perform in any conceivable place..

I received an answer from the Luis&Clark company. I will ask them to send the information packet

listen to the samples and see what you think?

Dear Ms.
I just found this in my drafts folder! I'm so sorry; I must have moved to a
different window before sending it.
We do ship internationally and I have some violins here that would LOVE to go
to Lithuania. I don't think we have any there yet. We would pay the shipping to
you, as you might have to pay import taxes (and if you didn't want to keep it,
the shipping back). The shipping is very expensive so you shouldn't order an
instrument impulsively. We ship by FedEx International Priority for the safety of
the instruments and under the terms of returning it, it would have to be shipped
back the same way.
I only ship internationally at the beginning of each week so that the instrument
will get there without having to spend a weekend in a warehouse. If I ship on
Monday or Tuesday you would have it by the end of the week. Occasionally
clearing customs takes longer than this, but usually not.
You can pay by check with a bank check in U.S. Dollars, or you can use VISA,
MasterCard or American Express. You can just go on our website and charge the
cello. If the charge doesn't go through, call the issuing bank of the credit card.
As it is such a large amount of money and is going to another country, your
bank might not likely to let it go through unless you notify them. You also could
pay by transferring the money; if you wanted to do that, let me know and I'll
send the bank routing numbers.
Have I ever mailed you a packet of information? If not, I would be happy to. It
would have sound samples and might give you a better idea as to whether or
not the L&C is something you'd like to pursue. Send me your address if you
would like more information and I'll get a packet in the mail to you.
I'm sorry for the delay in answering you.
With best wishes,
Stephanie Leguia
