Here is what I've been working on:
I. Coordinating detail site construction on the Office Pavilion landscaping such as walls, grading, lighting,
irrigation, and landscaping. This is where most of my effort has been taking place because we have most of the
construction crew working there. Believe me, there are many details that have to be worked out in the field. It's
good to be here because I can address an issue as it comes up.
2. Kite House — I had sent you a new Option `C' which I didn't have at our meeting at your house. I wanted to
see if you had any comments on it? In order to make a submittal to the Coastal Zone, we will need to produce
more detailed plans and I need your comments before we can finalize the plans.
3. Coastal Zone Submittal — I have been putting together drawings for the Coastal Zone submittal on the Fire Pit,
Wood Deck, Helipad Arrival Building and the New Kite House. This is work that the McGuire Group did in the
past for a pretty big fee and I am doing the submittal package instead of them so it's more cost effective. I will
also address the Boat Dock building with CZM when we meet. The Boat Dock submittal needs to be a separate
submittal because we don't want to hold up the approval on anything else. Due to the holiday season, we could
not schedule the CZM meeting until early January so we are putting together the package now for that meeting
with Maria Hodge at that time.
4. Mechanical Building Site Plan — I've been working with Gary on a revised site plan for the mechanical
building area. This is a complicated area and requires a detailed site plan & landscape plan. I know it's
considered to be the back-of-house but it really needs to be thought through.
5. Terraced Vegetable Garden — I'm finishing up a detail landscape plan for the Terraced Vegetable Garden &
Tiki area and will forward that for your review. Gary will discuss the schedule on Sunday.
6. Main House Expansion — I've also been coordinating detail landscape site designs for the Gensler plans such
as paving, landscaping & lighting.
7. Private Drive — I'm doing detail landscape plans for your Private Drive area. The area is very tight and we to
address grading, utilities & landscape screening for some of the unsightly areas along the service drive.
