Dear Ms.
I hope this e-mail finds you well. Best wishes for a healthy and prosperous 2013.
As you may recall, you were kind enough to forward back in September a personal letter from
University of Haifa Vice President Amos Gayer to Mr. Jeffrey Epstein, on our latest discoveries
at the University of Haifa's Institute of Evolution.
The newly elected President of the University of Haifa, Mr. Amos Shapira, will be in NY
with Vice President Gayer on his first visit to the city January 27-29, for VIP meetings and
private receptions. Mr. Shapira brings with him exclusive credentials from the business world,
having been the head of El Al Airlines, and Cellcom Israel Ltd., turning both companies
around to become leaders in their industry. Please see his attached bio.
We are hopeful that Mr. Epstein could spare just 30 minutes for a brief discussion. This would be
a meeting of introduction, not solicitation.
We have a number of notable meetings scheduled so far:
EFTA00718519
1. Israeli business forum, hosted by prominent Israeli attorney Oren Heiman, founder
and partner of Shiboleth & Co. with over 20 top Israeli business leaders
2. Ariel Recanati - President and Director of Maritime Overseas Corporation, major
benefactor of the University of Haifa
3. Dinner Reception at Manhattan home of billionaire philanthropists Leon and
Tzili Charney
4. Audrey Gruss, Founder, Hope for Depression, New York City philanthropist and
socialite, major benefactor of the University of Haifa
5. Sandy Frankel, former attorney of Leona Helmsley and current trustee of Helmsley
Charitable Trust
6. Nina Weiner, Syrian community leader and social activist, founding partner with leading
philanthropist Lily Safra, widow of banking mogul Edmond Safra
Should it be appropriate, it would be our pleasure to have Mr. Epstein (and spouse/guest) join
us, or stop by, at the dinner reception hosted by Tzili and Leon Charney on Monday evening,
Januar), 28th, 6 pm, at their Manhattan home.
Regarding Mr. Leon Charney:
1. He is an attorney, real estate investor, author, philanthropist, and media personality
2. Mr. Charney founded the Leon H. Charney School of Marine Sciences at the
University of Haifa
3. He dedicated a new cardiac wing at NYU Medical Center
4. Ott a personal note: Mr. Charney was in an accident a few years ago in the pool at his
home and "drowned." He was in a coma for several months. Every doctor told his wife to

"pull the plug". She did not give up hope. Miraculously, Mr. Chamey is recovering, still
uses a wheelchair, can speak, etc. He traveled to Israel this past summer for the bar-
mitzvah of his twin sons. There was not a dry eye in the house. This is one of the first
events he and his wife are hosting at their home since his accident.
We would be honored if Mr. Epstein could join us at the Chamey dinner reception for President
Shapira, or take a 30 minute meeting with President Shapira during his NY visit.
President Shapira sometimes travels with security, so we need to know in advance the
specifics of his schedule.
Kindly advise.
With appreciation and kind regards,
Regina
