It was really great to meet you on Tuesday in Paris, it was fun to looking through art works together and hear about
your island, plus the lasagne was great!
I hear you may be coming to London for Frieze, which would be the perfect opportunity to see both young and
established artists. As I explained we do also like to work directly with artists therefore it would be great to organise 1
or 2 studio visits like to Paul Fryer to view the Monkey and Polly Morgan.
Regarding what we spoke about on Tuesday, I will investigate the costs of shipping the following art works for you to
view in your house in NY.
The Breughel-Chapman painting of which I have attached the before and after pictures, as promised.
Please have a look at these carefully as this is a unusual piece, and I would love to show to you in real life.
Breughel the Younger/Jake and Dinos Chapman
121.5 x 208 cm
Oil on Canvas
1607-2010
£750,000
The Chapman 'Unhappy Feet'
This is large piece and before I proceed with looking into shipping this for you to view, I wanted to point out the
dimensions as it is a big piece and we need to make sure of the accessibility. Is there anyone I should contact in NY
regarding this?
The dimensions are:
215 x 170 x 170 cm
Aprox weight: 650 kilos
£500,00
Paul Fryer- Ape on the Cross
A Privilege Of Dominion
2009
Waxwork, wooden cross, rocks, iron nails, dead tree branches, oil paint, Modacryic fiber hair, iron base
550 x 161 x 138 cm
£145,000
I spoke with Polly Morgan, who created the bird hanging piece. She has confirmed that there are no conservation issues
with her taxidermy art works. The only real problem that can arise with any taxidermy is moths, as they feed off the
keratin in the feathers. Apart from that a light dusting or a gentle Hoover does the trick! She is around next week and I
would love you to see her studio as she is working on a similar piece with coloured birds right now.
I realise you were not impressed by the skull ash painting of Zhang Huan. This was a very subtle and totally grey

example. I did send it up because I wanted you to see the texture more than anything. The really great examples of his
work are the ones that go from black to white and have a strong sense of drama. I still think the idea of The Last Supper
in your dining room is incredible and worth pursuing. I am sure we will see examples in the fair and I have attached the
image of the one in the Metropolitan, which I am waiting to find out if it is still hanging.
Let me know.
Take care.
