From: ' To: ' c =l> Subject: Date: Mon, 26 Jul 2010 15:28:54 +0000 Yeah! My niece and nephew left this morning. Hopefully some peace and quiet! Paul Greengard (Nobel laureate) thinks my ideas about the vagus are pretty cool and he says that I should come to NYC and work in his lab and he will help me figure it out, or at least get started. He says he wants in early on so that he can win his second Nobel. If I can figure out the finances etc I will see about starting a part time posting at Rockefeller (one week per month) in February 2011. He told me that I should try to finance this by myself early on (at least until one publication laying it out) because if I go to NIH or NSF for funding, someone will jump on the idea. I've been looking for a career change but I can't leave orbit until my own mass increases a little. Plus Steve needs to stay at MSFT for a bit more. What do you think? We can talk later - in an all day "management training session" and then all day tomorrow I take Bill's daughter (suuuuper smart!) into the operating room with me to observe a Chiari 1 decompression. OK gotta roll more soon... EFTA00736440
