i'm not sure the confroming foam would be as good as a vibration dampening. gel

Jeffrey,
Eric Roth is working on a seat mock up with the conforming foam for you try.
Estimate 3 weeks, I will have Eric come down to PBI with several layers of different foam density for your review. I like the
idea of a base layer of conforming temper-pedic foam on the bottom, to act as a vibration dampener, and utilize dax foam
on the upper surface, so we can maintain the appearance once you move off the seat cushion it recovers its appearance.

***note from Eric:
Dear Jeffrey,
I hope you are well.
I assume that you are sitting on the aft divan (in the RIH position), facing forward?
If so, you are actually sitting on a cushion that is affixed to the fuel extension.
As such, it would be highly probable that any vibration to this cabinet/area would directly transfer to the seating foam.
I assume that you are more in tune / sensitive to this as Sikorsky normally uses various densities of DAX foam, who's
composition and purpose does not directly address "energy absorption" or "dampening / vibration isolation".
Please let me know if you feel that I have the proper understanding and that I am heading in the right direction as you
see it. If so, I will come up with a solution — one that will most likely combine the use of the "confor" foam on the bottom
of the cushion (to isolate and dampen any energy transfer) and the 'DAX" foam to provide comfortable upholstery
support.
I just had a quick meeting to discuss ideas, and we all believe along the same lines of thought as yours — we need to use
the conform foam as an independent "energy absorption damper that will most likely be attached to the bottom surfaces
INDEPENDENT of the foam cushion.
The foam will act in a similar fashion to the way "isolation mounts" are used for mounting bulkheads and large structures
in an aircraft.
Sincerely,
Eric Roth
