Created company spread sheets in Excel for estimating, job and leads tracking and job progress reports. Sales average about $1,000,000 per year with 82% bid to close ratio. My projects have won four judges awards in the past three years. Several local magazines have published six of my projects and two national magazines featured my work. Developed exclusive relationships with several custom builders & landscape architects, focusing on water harvesting, erosion control and SWPP (storm water pollution prevention). July 2003 to July 2004 Minine's Plants and Landscaping Beef Island, Tortola British Virgin Islands Landscape Manager of BVI based projects including maintenance, irrigation and landscape construction. Actively involved with renovations of the pool area of Sir Richard Branson's Necker Island resort/home. West Palm Beach, Florida Project Manager for the West Palm Beach branch of South Florida's largest landscape construction company. Personally responsible for the sales, estimating, contract negotiations and client relations of up to 4 million annually. Bid and was awarded contract with Palm Beach County for tree replacement through Federal grants with projects totaling 4.4 million dollars. Winner of 'Best of Best in Construction' 2002 for design and installation of Tropics Café at the Palm Beach Zoo. Managed up to 12 landscape, irrigation and maintenance crews. March 1998 to February 2000 Hawk's Cay Resort and Marina Duck Key, Florida Landscape Manager/Designer for the 40 acre resort. Involved in all the planning, designing and purchasing of the newly constructed areas of the resort. Created hardscapes, planting plans and a recycled water irrigation system for several new buildings, villas and pool areas. Worked with CZM on environmental issues such as water retention and re-vegetation for the entire property. Responsible for 9 person maintenance crew and assignments, projecting and maintaining an operational budget and implementing hurricane preparedness and quick recovery. July 1993 to March 1998 Tropic Landscape Company Homestead, Florida Operations Manager for a landscape construction company. Helped build the small, (one hundred and fifty thousand in revenues) family business to earning revenues of more than 2 million. Bid and contracted 2 million dollar U. S. Implemented all business and accounting processes, obtained all licenses, insurance and permits needed. Applied for and finalized all financing, equipment allocation and purchasing. Oversaw all personnel, payroll and training. Reconstructed three establishments after Hurricane Hugo. March 1985 to Dec. 1987 Maxwell Tree Expert Co. Ft. Wayne, Indiana Manager for the landscape maintenance division. Responsible for operations training on all equipment including crane, skid loaders, bucket trucks, etc. Projected revenues, instrumented contracts and oversaw subcontractors. Earned thirteen certifications up to Master SCUBA Diver Trainer. Sept. 1987, Federal Aviation Authority, received private pilot's license to fly single engine planes. February 1987, Ft. Wayne Ground School, studied for and passed written FAA flight test with 98% for Private Pilot • May 1986, St. Frances College, Ft.
