NEC is not one of the providers that has worked with Adtran to verify their handsets will work with the Adtran platform. While it may be possible to hack something together, there is a substantial amount of time that would be required for testing such a solution and ensuring all the features we require are portable to the modified solution. There are a few other options for handsets that may be supported on the Adtran platform. Richard has asked for a specific NEC model as reference or an estimate of handset requirements to help him identify possible solutions. More specifically, he has asked for an estimate of the number of speed dial entries required. The NEC handsets will work with the newer NEC SV8100 platform. I believe this platform is capable of supporting IP and Digital handsets. I need to speak with Steve from ETC about getting a quote for such a system if we choose this route. ETC also indicated that their shop was now regularly installing, supporting and configuring a Panasonic solution and so they have not kept up with NEC platform changes. EFTA00746662 Please let me know when you have a moment the number of speed dials required and if I should start tracking down a reputable NEC vendor.
