EasyJet is a no frills basic European airline that is very inexpensive. actually flew on EasyJet from Paris to Nice awhile back. The only negative with the airline is that they will make im c ec his bag as they only allow literally one piece of luggage on board which would be his backpack. They also don't assign seats; it's a free for all. I can ask some of my friends in Paris if there is also a local travel site they use and let you know.
