I can just imagine you in Palm Beach making a grand autumn cleaning. There
is nothing more foul than a dirty fridge or kitchen. On the other hand, it
is well known that : When the cat is away, the mice will play! and that if
the couple that was supposed to look after Palm Beach realised you were
hardly there, they took advantage of you. You are certainly better without
them and I hope that the new pair will be good. Servants are a perpetual
headache for any house owner and you and Jeffrey own 9 or 10 if I am not
mistaken (and counting the plane as one), so that your troubles are
necessarily multiplied tenfold!
I am leaving for Paris tomorrow and will be in London on Monday morning
around 10am, for 5 days, leaving again for Paris and Nancy hospital on
Saturday 21st. From there, I will return to Paris and Fraytet where I will
be staying until the end of October. From there, I will be going to Prague
for 4 days, health permitting, and from there back to Fraytet and hopefully
to Dax for a cure of 3 weeks for my arthritic pains. it is very strange for
me to have my life dictated by my health and not by work imperatives! May
be this is the start of my retirement at last.
Thank you for keeping in touch.
All my love
Maman
