To: Ghislaine Maxwell From: Vaughan-Edwards Sent: Wed 4/28/2004 4:22:56 PM Subject: draft Dear Mr Waitt, thank you for your email. Being English, I have no sense of humour and, like you. have a terrible memory. Sadly this means that I struggle to remember what Miss Maxwell looks like, let alone anything else about her! I would love to help you and your family out with the planned trip to the UK. I charge 20 an hour plus any expenses. I have looked at the hotel that your brother has booked - it is an excellent and exclusive hotel (48 bedrooms/suites, 5 stars, listed in Small Luxury Hotels of the World, right next to Harrods in Knightsbridge). It's restaurant is superb with two Michelin stars (only two restaurants in London have two stars) - however, it has no other facilities i.e. swimming pool, gym, sauna etc, etc, etc - though you can buy a day pass for the Peak Health Club (10) which is less than a ten minute walk away. If you feel that everyone would prefer to be in a hotel with on-site facilities, please let me know and I will look into it for you. I have spoken to Ray Perkins. He was Miss Maxwell's driver for many years (he also has no memory) and has now retired to Spain. He is absolutely brilliant and would be happy to look after you all but his charges sound a bit steep! He would be 30 an hour with a minimum charge of eight hours a day (actually this is not as bad as it sounds as if your mother is not great with lots of walking he would probably be with you for that amount of time each day anyway). We would also need to pay for him to stay somewhere (cheap and cheerful obviously) and would have to pay something towards his air fare. As I said, he is fantastic and he really knows his way around London and the country. We would have to hire a car for you all. Please give my numbers - home an' mobile) to your mother so we can start sorting things out for her. I am available 24 hours a day though life in my household is a little chaotic and noisy between 4pm and 8pm. I look forward to hearing from you Katie Vaughan-Edwards EFTA_R1_01279258 EFTA02332947
