WEATHER SUMMARY: An upper level trough over the region will combine with daytime heatin= to increase cloudiness and showers across some portions of the region tod=y. During the day tomorrow and Wednesday,a drier air mass is expected but =he lingering upper trough will combine with limited moisture to again prod=ce cloudiness and showers. Across the regional waters, mariners can expect winds to 15 knots and =ive foot seas. IN THE TROPICS: EFTA_R1_01377822 EFTA02373058 A new tropical depression formed this morning out of an area of strong=showers and thundershowers associated with a low pressure system located=A0south of the southern Cape Verde Islands. At 5 a.m. today, the center of=Tropical Depression Twelve was located about 2,700 miles east-southeast =f St. Croix near 9.4 degrees North, 26.3 degrees West. Top winds are at 35 miles per hour, additional strengthening is fore=ast and the depression could be upgraded to a tropical storm later today.=A0Tropical Depression 12 is tracking to west at 15 miles per hour with lit=le change in forward speed forecast. A turn to the west-northwest is e=pected during the next couple of days. On its current track, the depression should=track just to the north of the Virgin Islands during the Labor Day wee=end and into early next week as at least a Category Two hurricane with t=p winds of 100 miles per hour. Neither Tropical Storm Jose, located about 190 miles north-northwest o= Bermuda, or an area of low pressure located 800 miles west-northwest of t=e northern Cape Verde Islands and associated with former Tropical Depres=ion Ten is of concern to the Virgin Islands.
