Skype because his=father lives permanently in England (he's British, I'm Chinese..single mom). Conrad has grown up talking to hi= dad on a computer screen. The numbers began in the 100's in September 201=, and then each month it was higher and higher. By 2 EFTA_R1_01394229 EFTA02380219 December he could calcu=ate any 48 differences (of their ages) up to approx 10,000. He was never taught any math prior. We di= notice unique memory. The calculations appear to be a completely different mental facility t=an normal because the answers are lightning fast, and without thought. It'= as if he's waiting to see the number. Because he is autistic, I suprose the brain fundamentally does not work 'normal' anyway! But with this autism, it also means a compromised sy=tem that limits functioning. For some reason, he mainly does 48 ratios, th=ugh I've tried to expand with my age and other people he is connected to. When I tried to present this gift to his school, teachers/administrati=n were impressed, but they are there to do their Common Core and no one ha= any capacity to nurture it. It's been almost a year since discovering thi= gift, and I've tried to hire a math tutor to try and expand it but when we try to connect regular math to=savant math, it seems like two different areas of the brain accessing.&nbs=; Conrad has trouble with simple math and gets frustrated, yet does this h=gh level ratios perfectly. I mean for his age. Because I don't want him to lose the gift (public school's homoge=ization process), I test him each day with different numbers that we indep=ndently do on our own time, within routines. Meanwhile, it feels like we're on our own island, and knowing humanity=might just lose out on what more there is, can be challenging. Science cou=d benefit. I don't know if there are 'common' traits, just as trying=to get a statistic on 'artists'. I might believe Savant kids have their specialty. As for myself, I was invited by Paul Avgerinos. He knows me as an elec=ronic musician/artist and we have mutual friends. I have my own colossal m=sic/art archive (another story)! Anyway, I had been planning to build a website for Conrad as a beacon,=to see who had ideas, or would be interested in nurturing or studying it. =ecause, who know what other 'explosion' will happen next. He's now just ag= 6. My hopes is one day he'll be able to tell us what's going on, but it's probably some catch-22. I hope to connect. Perhaps I can also help you, science, and ambitious=y, humanity.
