Hi Jeffrey
Hope you're enjoying some of the long days of summer.
I just wanted to update you on the progress of our center in placebo =tudies.
Besides moving forward in some exciting studies and new publications, we have just received a $250,000 grant from the
Pioneer Fund of the =obert Wood Johnson Foundation to pursue initiatives to integrate =lacebo studies into the
education framework of Harvard University.
Also, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has asked to collaborate =ith us to develop new research designs that
would more efficiently =ontrol for placebo effects in randomized trials. We're hoping that =his will attract collaboration
from the pharmaceutical industry.
I also wanted to mention that we're are continuing to search for =artners in the private philanthropic community.
Best wishes,
Ted
