Thanks, Jeff, appreciated!
I wish you could rsvp to ANYone who sends you this stuff,
just one simple sentence "The McIver lawsuit was settled entirely in Al's favor
and all Al's legal bills were also paid. The settlement is private."
p.s. One last thing on Kosslyn, (and again all references to his lab vis a vis Al arc gone from Al's
own site or ANY mentions. now or in the future. Period But subsequent to the note that Kosslyn
sent you, Koslyn DID do some private checking with his graduate student, "Chris Chabris" who
was a post doc in his lab at that time, and indeed Kosslyn recollected he HAD passed on Al's case
to Chris and they were designing experiments together with eventual hope to publish a paper
about it (and another post-doc in Shin's Lab too) when the McIver thing blew it all to bits :-( )
re Cal Tech, thanks for the advice, it's well taken but painful since he TRULY was formally and
formerly (!) associated with Cal Tech and Christofs and Shin's Lab.
Best, - sigh. we are both no stranger to bard times .
Thanks for the support. It is mutual.

I am a friend. Christpohs letter suggested that Al had a relationship with Kosslyn. Kosslyn
said he does not know Al ,they never had any realtion he does not know his work, does not
want al suggesting in any way whatsoever that he had a relationsip with either him or his lab.
in fact he told me that he receives hundreds of emails a week and merely turns some over to
his undergrads or grads . and he does not remeber receivng anything negative. I appreciate,
what Al has done, I told him today that if I were he, I would make no referenceto CAI Tech.It
will stir up unnecesary trouble. THe lawsuit against Mc iver is a public record , The
settlement is not. Today , i have had two people send me the lawsuit , and the mciver
answers..I have not read them , d
