i spoke with david baltimores attorney, who has handled other cases like mine,
and is involved in one now. he had a very different take: i should go straight to
ORI (feds), give them a 2-3 page summary of why my case is not misconduct, and
work with them to show them that harvard provided the wrong analysis, and
there were dreadful procedural mistakes, including confidentiality breaches,
failure to provide evidence in time, etc. He was much more proactive. Dersh and
Schneider are very defensive and reactive. He said that ORI hates harvard, and is
aware of procedural problems. In any case, i sent him some materials to review.
such different opinions, and hard to know what to do. also, major start up costs
with a new lawyer, though schneider will talk with him. what do your instincts
say?
any thoughts on the negotiation issue with harvard, retirement, etc?
