One of the items Val-Comm noted with their wireless site survey was that there are crevices on the island that will be difficult to reach. We shouldn't have a problem covering the majority of the island, but there will always be nooks and crannies that you may have to walk a few paces from to get service again. I need to get a schematic of the island to Sawyers for them to develop a proof of concept quote. As far as improving ATT wireless service to the house at 71" street. The quickest solution is to place the zBoost antenna on the roof of the house and hang a coax cable over the outside of the house. The cable could be wire tied to the grates over the windows to secure it. A new entry point would be required into the dining room from outside and the zboost placed behind a curtain to provide improved service to that room only. Sawyers has asked that I emphasize they can do this, but strongly advise against it. They are of the opinion that this will not be a substantial long term solution and that ultimately you will not be pleased with it. Please advise on how to proceed. I know there is some signal loss due to distance over cable. If you arc looking to blanket ATT service over the entirety of the island, I would think that we may EFTA_R1_01497962 EFTA02428488 need more than one antenna; possibly a different solution. Are you asking about improving ATT service at a specific part of the island or over its entirety? From: Jeffrey Epstein [mailto:icevacation@email.coml Sent: Wednesday. On Wed, Mar 10, 2010 at 9:38 AM, William Murphy ote: Good Morning Sir, Tom Callahan from Sawyers suggested the following solution. This would use the existing array of panel antennas in the stairway to redistribute the ATT voice and data frequencies throughout the house. While I was under the impression that you were looking for An service to be available throughout the entire house at 71' street, Darren said that you were only concerned with the living room aside the kitchen. I wanted to forward this to you so that you have the number and get your feedback. Following arc Tom's notes and price. Please advise on how to proceed. The new Amplifier / Repeater will take 800 Mhz Cell Frequency and the 1900 MHz CDMA Frequency and combine and ampler them down through (8) Antennas. We will be able to re-use the existing cable, the existing floor Antennas and roof penetration. We will need to add a CDMA Yagi Antenna on the Roof and then use a high frequency combiner to send the signals to the Amplifier/ Repeater. This is a heavy duty model that will punch out 80 watts, approximately 10 watts per floor. The Yagi antennas are going to be "tuned" to the ATT tower and should also pick up the Sprint carrier. The older Nextel push to talk use a different frequency and will NOT work with the new setup. Verizon already has a strong signal so at the end of the project you should have excellent coverage with the (3) major carriers - ATT, Sprint & Verizon.
