Richard G. Salzman Hell yeah... 'Yas' counts! Didn't they also call you "The Grand Pubah" or something like that (or maybe that was Andy Goldsmith)?? I remember there was a kid who lived near Susan & Jenny Danzig, everyone called him "Gary Groovy", Lee (Chowmer) Greenberg William L.Gertz Gary Groovy worked on 8th street in the Village. He had a great LP collection. Didn't know he was Susan Danzig's cousin (or did I know that). What ever happened to Luck? David Goldstein? Leona Barsky? Tommy Domino? The Dickmans? Was in tough with Steve Fruchtman and Lenny Prissack a few years ago. Yes-Andy Golsmith called me "The Grand Poobah." I believe "Cousin Groovey" was Jenny & Susan Danzig's actual cousin. I believe he lived in Luna Park. Then ther was Shelly & Hymie Rabinowitz who were widely known as "the Count" and "The Countess." Shelly was also known as"Big Hills' and Helene Friedman was "Little Hills." Ther was "Coffe" or "Cups." "Charlie Tuna." Susan Danzig EFTA_R1_0 1499549 EFTA02429797 Yes, Yas... (that was fun to write)... "Cousin Groovy" was my actual cousin, Gary. He lived across the street from me, on Manhattan Ave. Joseph Terkell replied to Carrie's post Ronnie Ryan was also known as Binkie Susan Danzig That's so sad about Richie White. He took me to a dance at 205 in the 5th grade! What a cutie! Gary Groovy is my cousin, Gary Grossberg. There were a lot of nicknames in CI.. The Banker, The Count, The Shark, etc. Richard G. Salzman WOW... all these memories coming back! I remember Gary Grossberg (Gary Groovy, I forgot his last name was Grossberg). Mike "AX" Axelrod... he was good friends with Neil Cohen, Ron Hyman, Artie Podnos, Rick Levine and the Alovis's. I remember seeing Ax on TV being interviewed when he was a juror during the Bernard Goetz case (the NY subway vigilante in the 80's). Yeah, Larry Luckfeld - I recall him driving around in a white T-bird convertible when he was still ok. Howie Vogel was a crazy fun guy to hang with! I saw him a few years ago in Brighton, he was doing ok. The Dickmans, Mike and Richie... awesome guys! Same with Steve and Jay Fruchtman... nicest kids you ever want to know! I heard Jay was acting on Broadway... EFTA_R1_0 1499550 EFTA02429798
